The Centraal Station is the main train station in the city and the biggest transfer spot in the city with approximately 250.000 people (locals and tourists) going through it each day.

The building was designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers (he also designed the Rijksmuseum) with Gothic and Renaissance Revival styles. It was inaugurated in 1889 and remodeled a few times throughout the years.
