Vondelpark

Clara says

Chill out and walk around in Amsterdam's most famous park! Try to find the rose garden and the Picasso statue!

Information

Vondelpark, Amsterdam, Países Bajos

The Vondelpark is the largest park of Amsterdam. It opened in 1865 under the name of New Park, but it was then changed to Vondelpark after the famour playwright and poet Joost van del Vondel.

Every day lots of people, locals and tourists, come to the park to enjoy a stroll, exercise, have a picnic, and do many other activities.

There's an open air theatre that holds concerts of all kinds during Summer time. It also has some sculptures on its grounds, like The Fish by Picasso and Joost van den Vondel by Louis Royer.
