The Muiderslot castle is one of the most beautiful medieval castles in Holland. It has a long history behind it, and nowadays it houses a museum to show its unique and marvellous rooms (they were restored to look as they did during the 17th century), and a collection of arms and armours that were used at that time.
The original one was built in 1280, but it was destroyed in 1296, so a new one was built over the ruins in the year 1380.
Opening hours:
April 1 to October 31: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00.
November 1 to March 31: Monday to Friday closed and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00.
22 December 2018 to 6 January 2019 from 12:00 to 17:00.
