Charles says

Perfect for photo addicts, the place is extremely photogenic. Also romantic for couples. Of course, its perfect for kids, they will love to play in the maze :)

Carrer Germans Desvalls, 41, 08035 Barcelona, España

HISTORY

The Labyrinth Park of Horta is a garden located in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. It's the city's oldest conserved garden and it went from Neoclassical to Romantic style. The park was once the estate of Marquis of Llupià, Poal and Alfarràs, and it was oficially opened as a public park in the year 1971. References to Greek mithology can be found all around the park, including sculptures and busts. There are also water fountains, pools and springs.

The park is formed by three terraces. On the lower terrace lies the maze made of trimmed cypress trees, and in its center is a statue of the god Eros. On the second terrace there are two pavilions with tuscan columns, replicas of round Roman temples. On the top terrace there's a pavilion dedicated to the nine muses and behind of it there's a pond of natural water.
