The Heroes' Square is one of the most important squares in the city. The monument that's located in the center of the square is the Millennium Memorial, it commemorates the 1000 anniversary of the Hungarian state and it represents heroes such as the 7 tribe leaders of the Magyars who conquered the Carpathian Basin in 895.
It was declared a World Heritage Site together with the Andrássy Avenue.
