The Victory Column is located in the center of Tiergarten park. It's a column that has a statue of Victoria, the Goddess of Victory, on top of it, and an observation platform that's just below the goddess' figure, at the top of 285 steps of a spiral staircase.
The column was created as a monument to Prussia's victory in the Franco-German war and it was unveiled in 1873 by Emperor Wilhelm I. It was originally located in front of the Reichstag, but the Nazis relocated it here in 1938.
