The Place de la Concorde -in English 'Square of the Concord'- is one of the most famous squares in Paris, located at the end of Champs-Elysées avenue. It has two beautiful fountains (Fontaine des Mers and Fontaine des Fleuves), the Luxor Obelisk (it has 3.300 years old, it's Egyptian and it was placed here in 1836) and it's surrounded by famous hotels.

The square was created in 1772, named Louis XV square. During the French Revolution its name was changed to Place de la Révolution (Revolution Square), and it was a place of execution in which many people were guillotined, including Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette. In 1795, after that period, the square was baptized one more time as Square of the Concord.
