The Conciergerie is a building that had different functions throughout the years: it was the residence of the French royalty until the 14th century, it became a prison during the French Revolution until 1914 and its actually a historical monument open to the public for visits. Its built on an island in the Seine river in the center of Paris.
Visitors can find memories from the French Revolution, visit the Sainte-Chapelle, access to a reconstruction of the dungeons where prisoners were kept (including queen Marie Antoinette) and see the kitchen and armory of the palace.

Reduced fare: 7€
Twin ticket with the Sainte-Chapelle: 15€ / 12€.
Group tour from 20 adults: 7€ each.
Free for people under 18, and for disabled visitors and an accompanying person. Free entry on the first Sunday of the month from 1 November to 31 March.
