The Garden of Plants of Paris is a botanic garden that was previously used to make cientific investigations with medicinal plants. It is located between the river Seine, the Jussieu University Campus and the Great Mosque, and its amplitude is 23.5 hectares.
In its grounds visitors can find three greenhouses: the winter one, the mexican one and the australian one. Each of those present a variety of species of plants that adapt to different climates and atmospheres. There's also the "house of wild beasts", a zoo that has mammals, reptiles and birds, and galeries and museums deditacted to natural sciences and history.

Opening hours:
Jardin des Plantes, botanical school, rose garden and rock garden, peony garden: open every day from 7.30am to 8pm in the summer; 8am to 5.30pm in the winter. Iris and perennial flower garden: Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Alpine garden: open from 1 April to 31 October. During adverse weather conditions (snow fall, ice, strong winds, heatwaves), the Jardin des Plantes and the Grandes Serres may be closed to the general public.

The Garden of Plants of Paris is a botanic garden that was previously used to make cientific investigations with medicinal plants. It is located between the river Seine, the Jussieu University Campus and the Great Mosque, and its amplitude is 23.5 hectares.
