The Eiffel Tower is the most iconic monument of France. It was built by Gustave Eiffel to celebrate the centenary of the beginning of the French Revolution, the 1889 World's Fair. Including its antenna, it is 324 meters tall and its made out of puddled iron. Because of its height it can be seen from different parts of the city.
Throughout the years the tower was used to make radio transmissions and telecommunications, it was the scenery of light shows and it has been remodeled so that visitors can access the top to admire Paris at their feet.
It is featured in different movies shot at the known as the "City of Love". Because of that and its fame it is visited by approximately seven million people each year.
