The Belvedere Palace is a complex that consists of two Baroque Palaces, the Upper and Lower Belvedere, the Palace Stables and the Orangery, and it also houses the Belvedere 21 museum.
The Lower Belvedere has art exhibitions from all periods and some objects from the Middle Ages in the Stables. The Upper Belvedere has exhibitions of works of art from Klimt, Schiele, Funke, Monet and van Gogh. The Belvedere 21 is a venue for contemporary Austrian and international art, film, and music.
The grounds are also set in Baroque style, with sculptures, fountains, cascades and wrought iron gates. It was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy.
