The Rathaus -in English 'City Hall'- is one of the most important buildings of Vienna. It's the seat of the Mayor and the place where the senate and government meet.

Its structure is impressive, it has Neo-Gothic style and it was designed by Friedrich Schmidt, built between 1872 and 1883. It has a tower that resembles gothic cathedrals.
