Unchanged for millennia but constantly changing, it offers breathtaking views, incomparable architectural and archaeological wonders and monuments that anyone would be able to recognize. Its historical and artistic magnificence is incontrovertible, but what I love most is not necessarily to be found in the historic center, between Roman ruins and baroque churches. I'm talking about some trattorias where customers are called by name, older bars already frequented by Pasolini in the 1970s, or grocery stores where people exchange recipes and advises. It is the working-class Rome, looking more like a big village than an international metropolis, that's what I like to show to foreign tourists and visiting friends. + Más
