We just didn’t follow it, so it is actually not possible to give top rating. The casa in Ayesteran was a little far away and noisy - situated on the corner of highly traficced streets. But the lady was very nice and the place fine and well equipped. And the showet was fantastic aften the other showets we had experienced in Trinidad and Guanabo.

We vonden de voorbereiding van de Cubareis de leukste ooit. Dat kwam vooral door jouw boek Cubaconga en de andere gesprekken en informatie over Cuba. De route die je voor ons had uitgestippeld door Havana was erg afwisselend. Helaas viel de tweede dag (fietsen door Havana) door regen in het water maar met de auto hebben we nog wat gezellige terassen bezocht. We komen graag nog eens terug, mede door de gezellige contacten met jouw en enkele locals. CU Johan en Margreet

This helped us very much to have realistic expectations and it all turned out to be true! In one day we had a complete overview of Old Havana with highlights and off the beaten track places. It was a fantastic experience which made us feel "at home" immediately.

Ik heb de fiets gehuurd bij Ruta Bikes, Calle 16 esq. 13 in Vedado. Uitstekende fietsen, zelfs met slot en helm (desgewenst). Het is misschien goed in het vervolg te vermelden dat Havana best heuvelachtig is. Ik heb me daar in elk geval op verkeken, mede gezien de temperatuur en vochtigheidsgraad op de dag dat ik ging fietsen. Verder prima trip.

Perfect tour thru Havana!

The thing with Cuba is that you have to go with the flow in order to enjoy it- as nothing in Cuba goes the way … The thing with Cuba is that you have to go with the flow in order to enjoy it- as nothing in Cuba goes the way you'd expect. However, going too much with the flow will not bring you anywhere- or in trouble. Hence, your actions should have a general direction. For me, that's where Tino's guide came into the picture. Following his advice I ended up at the most beautiful places, and in the most surprising situations. I could avoid the tourist traps and develop an idea about what is, for me, the real Cuba. Not all his tips work as described, and neither shouldn't they- it's Cuba. But without exception Tino's tips will guide you to the right place within the labyritnh of Cuban life, which will surpise in all ways imaginable. When I ran in to some trouble during the trip Tino offered great advice and help! Altogether, I would recommend TIno's guide for the following reasons; a) if you know what you want from Cuba, the guide will help you find it b) Cuba can be overwhelming in that there are many hustles going on, the guide and Tino will give you a source on which you can completely rely, and c) it's simple economics: Tino's guide will save you more money from tourist traps than the guide costs. Thanks a lot Tino!

Was zeer geïnteresseerd in wat wij … Tino reageerde zeer snel en stelde een haalbaar plan samen met een aantal van de leukste highlights van Havana. Was zeer geïnteresseerd in wat wij wilden en paste daar zijn voorstel op aan. De commentaren van Tino bij de voorgestelde highlights waren soms hilarisch maar altijd relevant. Een restaurantje dat hij heeft aanbevolen hadden we zonder deze insiderstip niet zelf gevonden, maar was een echte aanrader. Voor die € 7,- per dag is dit absoluut een toegevoegde waarde voor je bezoek aan Havana!
