The Rossio square, also named Peter IV Square, Praça dom Pedro IV in Portuguese, is one of the most important squares in Lisbon, going all the way back to the Middle Ages. Throughout the years this square has witnessed lots of events, such as revolts, bullfights, executions and even celebrations.

In the center of the square is a column with the statue of Pedro IV on top, who was King of Portugal.

The Rossio square, also named Peter IV Square, Praça dom Pedro IV in Portuguese, is one of the most important squares in Lisbon, going all the way back to the Middle Ages. Throughout the years this square has witnessed lots of events, such as revolts, bullfights, executions and even celebrations.
