Chrysler Building

Information

Chrysler Bldg, New York, NY 10174, EE. UU.

The Chrysler Building is one of the most iconic skyscrapers in New York City and its skyline. It was briefly the tallest building in the world: for eleven months from may of 1930 to april of 1931. That title was taken away when the Empire State Building was finished, and the Chrysler is now the second tallest building in the city.

Its architecture is Art Deco style. In spite of its fame, there are no tours offered to see its interiors, the only space that people can visit, and shouldn't miss, is the lobby. The ceilings have murals, elevators with custom designed doors and a distinctive clock.

An observation deck was located on the 71st floor when the building opened in 1930, but it closed to the public in 1945.

INFORMATION

Price: Free access to the lobby.

Opening hours: Monday - Friday : 8 am -- 6 pm
