Located in Manhattan, New York's Public Library was opened to the public in 1911. Its style is neoclassic and it was remodeled many times throughout its existence. It has three floors, and to enter visitors have to climb marble stairs leaving behind two lion sculptures and two fountains. 

It has more than three million books that can be consulted, but can't be taken outside of the building. Furthermore, it offers electronic collections and material for people with visual dissabilities. Throughout the year, the Library holds expositions, investigation workshops, public programmes and different classes.
