It is the kind of place where you can start your day being served champagne and a traditional 'Franzbrötchen' in the lap of luxury overlooking the majestic waters of the Alster and end your day in listening to old sailor shanties in a smoke filled bar on the banks of an industrial harbour with the buzz of the red-light district in the backgroung. Hamburg is truely a city of contrast and contradiction. Home to both German socialism and capitalism Hamburg is a place where worlds collide. + More
