The Burggarten was created as a private park for the Imperial Family in 1818, opening to the public in 1918 after the fall of the Empire. Some of its most famous attractions are the Statues of Mozart and of Empreor Franz Joseph, and the Palmenhaus, a glass and steel greenhouse, that now has a cafè/restaurant and a Butterfly Garden.
