Like all the Barcelona highlights, Barri Gòtic is always crowded. However, there are still some hidden gems inside its labyrinthine streets.
To discover hidden terraces, avoid the great number of tourist traps and find the few remaining local bars & restaurants, I strongly recommend the Gothic quarter in Deep guide .

Barri Gòtic is the Gothic neighborhood, one of the 4 neighborhoods of Ciutat Vella district. Considered the center of the old town of Barcelona, it goes from La Rambla to Via Laietana and from Ronda Sant Pere to the seafront.
Barri Gòtic is probably the most visited area of Barcelona along with Gaudí's main attractions surrounding areas. Its maze of medieval streets along with main attractions like the Cathedral of Barcelona, Plaça Reial, Basilica of Santa María del Pi, the remains of the Roman and Medieval walls, the jewish quarter (...) make it a MUST SEE for any Barcelona visitor.
