Palau Dalmases - Espai Barroc
Charles says
Considering the place (a gorgeous palace), the price and the quality of the artists, this is one of the best places to see Flamenco in Barcelona.
Information
Carrer Montcada, 20 (08003) Barcelona
The Palau Dalmases, a medieval palace with baroque influences, is located on Carrer Montcada, in the Ribera neighborhood. In the XVIth century, this street was home to the residences of the city’s most important families.
Important men, musicians and scholars have spent time within its walls. The Palace has hosted the Academy of the Sceptics and the Academy of Arts.
The building alone is well worth the visit, bearing witness, as it did, to the growth of the city. In the 16th century, Carrer Montcada was home to the palaces and residences of the city’s most notable and influential families.
Now, the Palace is a great place to have a drink and hosts Opera, Jazz & Flamenco shows in a gorgeous environment.
