HISTORY
Barcelona's port Cable Car was designed for the 1929's World Fair, but it wasn't finished until 1931, year in which it was inaugurated.
The route connects the port of Barcelona with the Montjuic hill: it starts in the San Sebastián Tower in la Barceloneta neighbourhood, it goes through the Jaime I Tower that's in the dock, and it ends in the Miramar station on the hill of Montjuic. Because of the location of the towers, the trip has incredible views of the city.
During the Civil War, from 1936 to 1939, the Cable Car was closed to the public, the cables were withdrawn and the towers served as estrategic spots for the defense of the port of Barcelona.

From September 11 to October 29 it opens at 10:30. Last trip at 19:00.
From October 30 to December 31 it opens at 11:00. Last trip at 17:30.
Closed on December 25th.

Barcelona's port Cable Car was designed for the 1929's World Fair, but it wasn't finished until 1931, year in which it was inaugurated.
