HISTORY
The Montjuic Magic Fountain is located in the Reina María Cristina Avenue that connects Plaza España with the National Palace. It was built for the 1929 International Exposition and, since then, it has been the scenery of many celebrations, like the MTV Europe Music Awards of 2002.
Visitors mostly choose to go to the fountain to see the show that combines water, lights and music that occurs in this area: the water of the fountain follows the rythm of the music making a "choreography", at the same time that it's illuminated in different colors. The show not only consists of the fountain, there are water columns displayed along the area, and waterfalls that flow beneath the National Palace.

From April 1 to May 31: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 21:00 to 22:00. With music at 21:00 and 21:30.
From June 1 to September 30: from Wednesday to Sunday from 21:30 to 22:30. With music at 21:30 and 22:00.
From October 1 to October 31: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 21:00 to 22:0. With music at 21:00 and 21:30.
From November 1 to March 21: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 21:00. With music at 20:00 and 20:30.
